If Obama prevails, the scorn heaped upon Mitt will be epic

I like to compare Mitt losing to Obama to the loss Philip II of Spain suffered by Queen Elizabeth when England kicked the Spanish Armada's ass.

Can you imagine what the European royalty were saying to Philip both behind his back AND in his face?

"Dude, you got beat by a GIRL!!!!"

1. They didn't heap too much scorn on Palin.

Some of the more intelligent Conservatives did, but most of them did not.

There is probably a double standard there, however, since Palin is assumed to be 'cute'.

I think you're right -Romney will have nowhere to go in the GOP after this. Not only did he run a terrible campaign but he let himself be recorded in secret.

CatWoman, kidding aside...yes, the scorn will be epic, as you say, and at the same time, it will be simply delightful to behold.

But there will be a lot of internal fighting. I don't think it will end under a bigger umbrella of inclusiveness... probably a lot of purity cleansing, making the party even more white, old, and crazy.

that were in the running for the nomination all dropped by the wayside, it won't too hard for them to slice and dice...dissect, if you will, this debacle. So yes, there will be an autopsy of the Romney Campaign and I hope we all get a ring side seat. Most of us know what they will find but it will be sweet to watch them squirm and have to admit what a lousy candidate he was. And the role played by Paul Ryan won't be overlooked. Like Sarah Palin, he was supposed to bring energy and youth to the ticket. He brought nothing but trouble and they ended up having to nearly hide the guy. Nothing that they thought would happen did and now they have to pick through the wreckage to see what happened. Mitt, himself, will bear a lot of the responsibility since it's my guess that he is a micro-manager and insisted on following his own ham handed plan. He will learn nothing but maybe the lessons won't be lost on the Republican Party.
