to watch returns.

Tomorrow I will be covering the returns...

Though since I already got my assignment, current trends hold, I will be covering an Irish Wake. (And yes, there will be plenty of drink)

I refreshed DU about 100 times at work. I've also got 1090 plugged on my headphones on my 'puter (at work - it's a wonder I've been able to put out the work I do). I've recommended 1,000 threads in the last month. And I'm pretty much batshit. I KNOW Obama will win, but whenever someone posts a crappy thread about how the Republicans are stealing the election, my stomach drops to my feet. Let this be over soon, and with the outcome we good people are hoping for.

The thing is, I have to look at this Obama factor whenever I start freaking out. The guy has karma or something on his side. I used to tell my daughter she was born under a lucky star. She was. And so was Obama. He's not going to lose this.

it's hopeless!

If it was totally lopsided we wouldn't be so wound up but we're on high alert cuz you never know what the media or Money Boo Boo will pull last minute

I think we're good for a little landslide action

So I would describe myself as cautiously optimistic. Tomorrow is going to be hard waiting for the returns to come in. I will cook something good for dinner and make some treats for watching the numbers pile up for Obama! The picture does not look very good for Romney/Ryan. And THAT is a fact. There are plenty of lawyers and poll watchers to keep an eye on things. Those who are still planning to vote know that they might be facing a long wait, but they know the score and will go prepared. Chairs, water, snacks, a good book. Too many people marched, protested and even died for the right of all Americans to cast their vote. Nothing should ever stop any of us from exercising our rights as citizens.

Knowing all of this, I am working hard to remain calm, have confidence that Obama and Biden have done their work, the campaign is ready for the tricks. Now we get to wait on the good news! And I have a bottle of something bubbly in the refrigerator just waiting to be opened to celebrate the Obama/Biden Victory....one more time!

I voted last week, so that part is done. One more day to go. Sleep tonight, fellow Duers, 'cause we may have a long night tomorrow night.
