CASTLE ROCK, Colo. -Paul Ryan squeezed in time on a four-stop, five-state day for a conference call with evangelical voters Sunday evening, issuing a warning about a second Obama term saying the president is putting the country on a "dangerous path" that compromises "Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values."

Evangelical leader Ralph Reed's influential group, the Faith and Freedom Coalition, hosted the call and Reed said "tens of thousands" of Evangelical Christians were listening in.

The GOP vice presidential nominee said in the "critical battleground states" it will make a "big difference" if people "are worried about…whether or not we're going to go down the path the president has put us on."

"It's a dangerous path," Ryan said on his opening remarks on the call, which has been rescheduled at least once. "It's a path that grows government, restricts freedom and liberty, and compromises those values, those Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values that made us such a great an exceptional nation in the first place."

I dislike all these "moral" people who have no problem declaring someone else evil. Let him without sin cast the first stone - oh wait maybe he does not follow the tenets of the Judeo-Christian culture himself!

The value of loving one another as yourself?

How about giving unto Caesar what is Caesars?

How about caring for the poor, the sick (with free healthcare), the downtrodden?

How about not making women out to be villains for their decisions about their bodies? How about not treating LGBT citizens as second-class citizens? How about not treating immigrants (legal and otherwise) as other than human? That is what Jesus would have wanted.

How about the sanctity of life? I'm not talking about in the uterus (which is open to debate) but how about ensuring women get pre-natal care, newborns receive pediatric care, children have good, nutritious food and safe/loving homes (even if a single parent or two parents of the same gender). How about ensuring children don't go to school hungry? How about ensuring children get the help they need in school? How about ensuring children are not subjected to bullying? How about providing REAL jobs in this country that pay a decent wage and benefits rather than offshoring a la Bain to China? How about providing access to affordable healthcare? How about not killing death row inmates when we know our legal system is fallible? How about not starting wars of choice? How about opening up the draft so that in wartime EVERYONE pays? How about instituting a war tax when you vote to start a new war? How about asking the rich to pay a little more for the HUGE BENEFITS they get from being in this country?

Those, Mr. Ryan are Christian values. You have not met you in your privileged Yuppy lifetime.
