Romney didn't release his federal income tax returns!!

Biggest mistake he ever made.
Why would I vote for a guy who won't even release his federal income tax returns??

What kind of a thundering dunderhead is Romney, anyway?!?

Everyone knows -- everyone -- that you have to release your federal income tax returns if you're running to become the President of the United States.

When Mitt looks back on all of the mistakes that he made during this campaign, this will be the biggest one.
Picking Ryan was bad, giving the 47% speech was bad, but there is no excuse -- none! -- for not releasing his federal income tax returns.

2. Honestly.....he got away with it. Had Obama tried that he would have been skewered by the media.

It ended up being barely a blip on the radar.

It's obvious there was something in those returns that Romney knew would have been fatal to his campaign. He calculated that taking the heat for not releasing the returns would not be as bad as the damage if he released them. And he was probably right.

I'd honestly thought this astonishing load of baggage would have toppled him from genuine consideration to the tune of a last-minute replacement candidate. This shows the danger of his base; they'll vote for anything at all.
