Thank you fellow DUers

I'm new here in that I've just recently registered. I've lurked around here a while because I'm a bit shy. Enough babble. I'm retired and a single old lady and I've found so much solidarity, hilarity and a treasure trove of information here to feed my mind and spirit. You're a wonderful community of people and I've learned a great deal from you. I posted a few days ago that I cant watch the election tomorrow. Im turning my computer off and will fire it up on Wednesday. I'm just so scared. The idea of watching tomorrow makes me want to throw up and as I said last post I'm on my meds!!!! I don't think I can take it.

Tonight though, although I practice no religion but love the Buddha....I am going to form a prayer deep within my heart and spirit and cast it to the stars.....a prayer for Obama's continued presence and leadership in our daily lives and the grace of his family beside him. I wish this for all of us. We've all been through so much and this man's presence in our lives for just a bit longer would be a great gift. Goodnight to all of you....stay safe and warm and comforted.....I'll see you Wednesday morning....

Please remember what John Lucas says about a landslide, and so many other good signs. If you need a laugh and your confidence built up, read his OP:

ELECTION SPOILER: Obama wins in a LANDSLIDE

I believe there is something in the universe which reflects back to us our hopes, our fears, our love, our hate. The greater number of people may affect others. I think he was a ripple. Your OP reminds me of something else John Lucas said:

'We will have the last laugh & our purest love will be rewarded by the universe.'

And something Robert F. Kennedy said:

Few will have the greatness to bend history, but each of us can work to change a small portion of the events, and then the total - all of these acts - will be written in the history of this generation.

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

Take good care of yourself tonight and tomorrow. See you later.
