Until tonight had not seen a presidential ad in Indiana.

Tonight have seen at least five in the past hour. All anti-Obama. Only two possible explanations: 1) the superpacs (and Romney campaign) are concerned about undecided voters even in non-swing states (attempt to push up the national popular vote); or 2) the superpacs, at this point in a non-contested state, are passing out huge dollars to political consultants in non-swing states to enrich themselves (that is, the organizations are using media companies in which they have vested interest - and this is a fleece job.)

There were already so many moderate republicans and independents that were horrified by the Murdoch race against Lugar, that the race was a toss up. Then Murdoch unapologetically asserted that rape victims who ended up pregnant were facing the will of God (by extension of the logic, God intended the rape to happen.) For weeks, Murdoch has been toast.

They can raise unlimited amounts of money, but there are only a finite number of 30 second spots available in swing states.

to pay our own companies a lot of money - with no goal of winning races, just with the goal of making money.)

I admit that Western Ohio shouldn't be getting your TV (Toledo, Lima, Springfield, Dayton, and Cincinnati are all in the west of Ohio with tv stations) but maybe that is what is going on. South Bend would bleed into southern Michigan and so would Gary and Fort Wayne.
