After Tuesday

The day after Tomorrow.

All right, we have a pretty good idea that Mitt will lose. Of course, I am not counting my victory till the fat lady has sung her last note, but we can feel confident. However, I am already thinking a little bit ahead, to what will happen afterword. Yes, I will be relaxing this week like everyone else, but I have no illusions about the fight being over. One mistake made was the idea that since we beat the Elephant hard in 2008, that we could assume that we would get the respect we deserved.

We were wrong of course, especially as Obama revealed that he was a politician, not a revolutionary. However, in the four years he served, he did show that could cave to our pressure, as well as the intense pressure he got from Corporate America and the Centrist Blue Dog Dems. We are older, and wiser.

First, we know that logic does not work on these undead GOP Vampires: They will try to crash the budget, again, and they will fight tooth and nail for any Tax break for the rich. We need to be prepared to buttress Obama, and if so, press him, to make sure that he can drop the 15th amendment on these Koch-Roaches.

Second: do not expect these guys to get a clue. They are wrapped in a cocoon of the most refined bullshit money can buy. They will never, ever, ever accept that Barack Hussein Obama is the legitimate president of their United States of America. Expect the Klansmen and Militia types to ramp it up.

Third: we need to press left. Simply put, with Hillary being the leading 2016 candidate, we know there will be pressure from the centrists to keep it cool, as if having a centrist black in power was some sort of “gimme” that should make the left quiet down. First off, we need to CRUSH any hope Rahm has of running, even as a Veep. Second, we need to remind Obama that he owes us more than he even owes the Big Dawg. That means NO, we do not want the pipeline, yes we do want to lay the groundwork for single payer, no we do not want to go into Iran, no matter how badly Hillary wants that war. And we need to smack anyone, even Nancy “impeachment is off the table” Pelosi, if they get in our way.

In short, we need to realize that this is not a once every four years battle, and that the Oval office, instead of being the vanguard, is very the last piece put in.
