I remember this from the 2008 primaries and the GE. Obama always had the same pattern. The election would be close 1-2 weeks before election day. Then Obama would surge ahead at the end and win (sometimes comfortably) in the end. The polls would always understimate black voters and eventually hispanic voters as well. The polls also understimated Obama's ground game. The Obama ground game was meticulous and helped run up the score.
I saw a comment from a pollster saying that Obama's ground game is worth an additional 2-4 points. The positive Obama signs are there. Hopefully Obama's campaign can do what they've always done best tomorrow and deliver the vote.
