Awesome Freeper Thread: "Vanity- Are you wearing your Romney shirt tomorrow?"

I swear to fucking god.... this is the funniest shit I have seen in a long time, here are some of the keepers in response to whether or not this dude is going to express his 'Vanity' and sport his Romney Shirt tomorrow:

his post:

Vanity- Are you wearing your Romney shirt tomorrow:

what does everyone think?

I go to a law school. It's conservative compared to other law schools, but I know most of my teachers are Obama supporters. Regardless, I'm 90 percent sure I'm wearing my shirt tomorrow. I'm proud to be a young conservative, since most of my peers are inundated by their liberal professors.

some comments:

I think it is a great idea...you have every right to express yourself and it is healthy...even if there are some complaints!

90% sure? Grow some ba lls tonight and put the dam n shirt on!
(I left the crazy syntax errors on that one)

I’ll be drinking coffee out of my Newt cup and I have a Newt bumber sticker that is staying on my car. (yes they said bumber)

I take the train to school, so my girlfriend has been trying to talk me out of rocking the Romney shirt. She’s afraid I’ll get into a confrontation. However, I’m a big guy, so I don’t think she’s going to convince me not to wear it.

I have no idea what that last one means... still trying to figure it out... either way, it's fucking hilarious

and quite a few were not easily classified. None ever expected me to regurgitate their beliefs by rote but all expected me to master the class material. If Thorstein Veblen was the topic, Milton Friedman wasn't the answer. However, as they expected me to know the topic, I wasn't required to believe the topic -- but it was my responsibility to intelligently defend any contrary belief I held.

I believe those who protest the most about a professor's "slant" are the one's least able to support their own. They're not protesting a professor's restriction of their academic freedom so much as they're reacting to their own academic frustration.

That, and their opinions appears to be smeared with santorum.

Some sites have software, or install some, that edits posts that have certain words in them. Maybe freeperville doesn't allow "balls" or "damn" or the author is so used to posting places that do have the anti swearing software they do these tricks all the time.

Or, the author doesn't believe in swearing and thinks saying "h-e-double hockey sticks" doesn't count as swearing. (I'm from Mormon Utah where they say "h-e-double hockey sticks all the time as though it doesn't count.)

The sports section of wral.com has one of those nanny word censors. Really hard to talk about sports when you can't say balls, but can sat testicles.

I live in a red state. My neighborhood is very blue (hey Morgan Freeman and our favorite retired football coach came out for my Dem House (state) candidate= hell yeah!) but my county is NOT. I can't go to work with a Obama sticker. Gave my free one to my son (oh yeah, his middle school, my daughter's elementary school, at least two of the three elementary schools in my neighborhood -all of them... the KIDS voted Obama).

Despite all that... I still could NOT wear Obama gear to work.
