Obama sheds a tear at his final campaign rally (photo)

A single tear rolled down President Obama’s cheek during the final campaign speech of his political career.

On the eve of the presidential election, he returned to Iowa where 20,000 people heard him offer a tender account of his early days in Des Moines. It was in this city that a young senator’s unlikely bid for the White House was transformed into an unstoppable political movement.

May his second term be better than his first. For all of us.

May his children see that the dream is becoming reality. I know I voted for Obama based on the content of his character, not the color of his skin. And while one cannot really vote against someone, I like to think I voted against Romney based on his poor character, not the color of his spray on tan.

it wasn't emotion - not saying that at all. Just saying I water up and "cry" like crazy in the cold, especially when I'm tired. I also do it when I'm just plain tired.

Only he knows. I love him the same either way.

This brings tears to my eyes.

In a matter of hours President Obama will have won his second term and Mitt Romney will be nothing more than a footnote in the pages of history.
