I knew it, the right wing screaming about the New Black Panthers again!

Just out of curiosity I entered New Black Panther Party into Google News and got a Newsmax article (won't link to that of course) that linked to this Philadelphia Daily News article by Will Bunch (author of books like Tear Down This Myth: how the Reagan legacy has distorted our politics and haunts our future):

You'll recall, especially if you've ever listened to conservative talk radio, that it was right here that the Election Day 2008 appearance of two local leaders of the smallish black-power posse outside a polling station at 12th and Fairmount in North Philadelphia - one brandishing a large nightstick - became a national controversy.

Critics said it was an open-and-shut case of voter intimidation and that the U.S. Justice Department, whose probe began in the Bush administration and ended during President Obama's term, let the New Black Panthers duo off too easy.

...

"I will say that as this election comes up in November, we will consider our options," he told WABC Radio's "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" show. "And we will consider the fact whether we will legally and lawfully go to the polls again to make sure there is no intimidation against our people, which was our intent in 2008."

But Malik Zulu Shabazz told the interviewer, "No, sir," when asked if any poll-watchers would have nightsticks or other weapons.

The group's Philadelphia leader, King Samir Shabazz, who brandished the billy club in 2008 and was slapped with a federal injunction aimed at preventing that from happening again, claimed to the Daily News that he and fellow NBPP activist Jerry Jackson had shown up at 12th and Fairmount four years ago because of rumors that white skinheads would disrupt voting.

Vigilantism isn't going to resolve anything. Do these kooks not know the election bureau hotline? They can come up with any excuses they want, but in the end they're no better than those they're fighting against.

In perspective, if this is all that Newsmax, Daily Caller, the Blaze, Drudge, Gateway Pundit, Hot Air, etc. can come up with in terms of "Democrat voter suppression" compared with these stories posted on DU from BradBlog, Think Progress, indy media, other reality-based media...
- Mystery software updates in voting machines;
- Possible ballot tampering in Oregon;
- "Victory Vans" whose drivers offer to deliver ballots only to discard the Democratic ones;
- The Ohio Sec of State's non-stop bureaucratic gymnastics;
- Blatant destruction of Democrats' voter registration forms;
- and SO MUCH MORE CRIME AGAINST DEMOCRACY...UNREPORTED BY THE MEDIA that gets DISTRACTED by BULLSHIT "New Black Panthers! ACORN! Illegals voting!" BS from Fox Boobs and hate radio! The right wing in this country is fucking UNETHICAL and PATHETIC and IMMORAL. And you thought they had the moral high ground.

You know they are full of shit because if they really were serious they would say the Crips or the Bloods or for Hispanic gangs the Latin Kings or those Mexican gangs in our prisons or the Arayan Brotherhood. (oh, I forgot, thats their gang) Instead, they try to push this New Black Panther Party who MIGHT have three members and apparently a nightstick in PA. HAHAHAHA

More Faux news BS... Boring really and so predictable in the end of the day...
