We were lined up waiting to get in and that is unusual for our little polling place. I was the 30th person to vote this morning. I hope lines mean good news.

Mr. Pup and I voted in and out in 20 minutes. It's going to be a good day for Obama in NY!

Pretty typical for a major election. I'm in a rural, heavily Republican district, so I would have preferred to see a very light turnout.

I was there before the polls opened. There were 7 people in line before me. So, 8 people already in line before the polls opened, may sound short, but given the time of the day, not so much.

I expect them to be pretty long once the parents take their kids to school.

but I live in a very small town in CT. The voting machine jammed for the person ahead of me and they had to fix it which took a couple of minutes, but I think we were there a total of 10.

I'm still in it. Didn't really expect it since Maryland (my state) isn't a battleground, but voters are just fired up!

My borough is pretty small. A little over 3000 people. Only about 500 people use my polling place. In the 2008 election I was number 325 at about 5pm.

I was in a modestly long line for about one minute when a poll worker came out and said "Anyone here with a last name starting with J through Z?" I left that line and moved to a line with just two people in front of me for the S-Z table.

I spent more time carefully filling in the appropriate little black ovals on my ballot than waiting in line.

Voting should be this fast and easy EVERYWHERE for EVERYONE!

And I've voted in every election since I moved here in 2000. Maybe redistricting put more likely voters in my precinct, but I've been here an hour already (still in line) and the longest I ever had to wait was maybe 20 minutes in 2008.

Of course, there is no urban Newaygo county. More deer here than people.

I am leaving for the polls within the hour.

BTW, that's western MI.

When I turned in my mail ballot a week and a half ago, they had a drive-thru line - I didn't even have to get out of my car.
