The legitimacy of the American Political system is at stake today

Can it be bought by the most flawed candidate in history?
Can a few rich men usurp the wishes of the majority?

Despite it's problems (including voter suppression and racism) I think the American political system is way more sound than the RWs would like to believe.

GObama!!!

As battered and bruised and beaten as our democracy is, as our Constitution has been savagely drug through the mud and the muck and the mire, as billionaires and multi-national corporations decide our laws and even our leaders, the ONE thing We the People have is our vote. This is where We the People can counter ALL of that.

It is an awesome thought, isn't it?

Remember people saying, "Where is the outrage?" It's taken 12 years but we're seeing it with a vengeance. I think we've reached critical mass and the backlash is here.
