A new sort of "Morning in America"

A beautiful day today.

Today we can choose to reject the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

Naked greed, self-righteousness, unjustified fear, and sugar coated misogyny.

Dickishness.

For years we've lived in a society where the hard right has told us we must adhere to their orthodoxy. Since 9/11 they've held a knife at the throat of our society, holding us under duress, keeping us prisoners in our own homes, returning us to slavery by wages.

It's election day in 2012, and today the entire electorate can choose not to be bossed around by a white male dominated elite.

Get out and vote, get your friends to vote, drive your mom to vote.

Tomorrow will be an even more beautiful day.
