(24,411 posts)I tend to mosey on over to right-wing sites, because I like to hear all sides (even though I find them detestable). I have promised myself that I won't do that today. I don't need that horrible karma today.
I am very wistful today. I know that we will win. The polls overwhelmingly give Obama the edge; a big edge in many states.
However, I am very emotional. There is just so much at stake. Romney and Ryan are a nightmare on steroids.
Hang in there. So many here feel the same.
About the voting-machine glitch that we saw. I tend to believe that these obvious "errors" truly are glitches. The horrible stealing that I worry about is the machine counts being rigged--the invisible stuff. We don't know that it's going on. We also don't know if they can pull off enough of it to change the election. They sure as hell couldn't in 2008.
You're right though...this needs to be reported ASAP, as I'm sure it has.

(2,479 posts)report it, stay at the machine, and call someone over.
Another thing you might try is to move your finger to the middle of Obama, as in programming the machines you have to "define" an area of the screen. Whether purposely or not, someone can program the area wrong, and put the sensitive area in the wrong place.

(47,675 posts)The touch-screen could simply be out of calibration, but after watching it a few times, it looks intentional.

(533 posts)I wouldn't trust a YouTube video for news. There does seem to be some fuzziness between touching of the screen and the check marking of the selection that seems cut. The sound is distorted at that point to. I feel this is fake; a YouTube troll.
