I took my wife to work this morning since 1- she doesn't drive, and 2- we currently only have one car. After I dropped her off, I went to a local eating joint in the heart of romney country, at least around here. I had a coupon and what the heck, I'm always game for saving money. Anyway, I ran into a guy I was in HS with and owns a very successful hardware store. And he shocked me when he said, "Hi Bluz. Voting today?" I said, "Of course. Haven't missed an election since 1976 and I ain't missing this one." He replied, "Are you an Obama backer too?" "Of course I am", I said.
Here was the shocking part, at least to me. "So am I." Nice seeing you. I am going to vote and open the store."
"Yeah. Good seeing you as well." Here's a guy who owns a successful store and has made a better than average living for himself and his family. And he is an Obama supporter.
As I sat and waited for my breakfast, I overheard a couple of guys talking and one guy said, "Well, General Powell backs him, so that's good enough for me."
The other guy said "I'm still voting romney. That Obama is bad for the economy and I just don't like him."
Then my food arrived, I ate, and went up to pay. I just couldn't resist saying to the cashier, "Hey don't forget to get fired up and ready to vote". She had a smile on her face as she replied, "Im going out to vote after work and I'm fired up too." So I think she's an Obama backer as well.
Okay, enough rambling. GOTV and peace to you all. GOBAMA!
