There is no possible way that you nor I nor anyone else can say for certain that the video is fake at this time. So why did you say it? Unless you know something for absolute certain, then you don't know and shouldn't pretend you do.

This is something that is likely to happen on electronic voting machines in districts and counties where Repubs have control of the Election Commission.

Real election fraud would occur at the "Central Tabulator" sites where the votes are tallied and then sent back to local officials.

Not in a such way that would be obvious to the actual voter.

I would have liked to see the person select the Romney choice to see if it gave the same result. But I have to say this smacks of election theft.

View the HD version. They're just lightly touching the screen with the top of their fingernail to get it to do that. Take the index finger on your left hand and orient it the same way they have theirs. You can easily fuck with touch screens like this.

I have no doubt they were able to vote for Obama.

It's bullshit to say they were altering votes when a vote wasn't even cast. They were just making the selection.

The guy says it only took Obama in the small white space beneath Obama's black square. It sounds legit to me. I wish he had videoed the poll worker trying to highlight Obama's name for verification. That would be some interesting video.

...twitiching. Notice how he's hitting it in exactly the same place. Notice that he's not actually hitting it with the point of his finger but the back of his fingernail. Notice how he doesn't touch any other part of the bar with the President's name on it or clicking on the (visible above the Romney/Obama choices) "straight ticket" voting bar.

That specific video is "evidence" of absolutely nothing.

Except it was in reverse. People who were selecting Romney the check would appear in the Obama box. They took the machines down to recalibrate them.

Not good that it's happening at all, but at least people are seeing the error. It's what we don't see that's more worrisome.

The voter doesn't need to see any sign of hanky panky whatsoever. It can all be done on the backend.

Here is what the poster said:

My wife and I went to the voting booths this morning before work. There were 4 older ladies running the show and 3 voting booths that are similar to a science fair project in how they fold up. They had an oval VOTE logo on top center and a cartridge slot on the left that the volunteers used to start your ballot.

I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted. I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney. Being a software developer, I immediately went into troubleshoot mode. I first thought the calibration was off and tried selecting Jill Stein to actually highlight Obama. Nope. Jill Stein was selected just fine. Next I deselected her and started at the top of Romney's name and started tapping very closely together to find the 'active areas'. From the top of Romney's button down to the bottom of the black checkbox beside Obama's name was all active for Romney. From the bottom of that same checkbox to the bottom of the Obama button (basically a small white sliver) is what let me choose Obama. Stein's button was fine. All other buttons worked fine.

I asked the voters on either side of me if they had any problems and they reported they did not. I then called over a volunteer to have a look at it. She him hawed for a bit then calmly said "It's nothing to worry about, everything will be OK." and went back to what she was doing. I then recorded this video.

There is a lot of speculation that the footage is edited. I'm not a video guy, but if it's possible to prove whether a video has been altered or not, I will GLADLY provide the raw footage to anyone who is willing to do so. The jumping frames are a result of the shitty camera app on my Android phone, nothing more.

If you could rig the machine to change someone's vote, wouldn't you rig it so that the rigging didn't show up on the screen?
