I was in and out of my precinct in less than twenty minutes.

There were maybe two dozen people ahead of me but it went fairly smoothly. This is Florida and there were several proposed ammendment changes that slowed things down a bit but there were no real problems AFAIC. My ballot was four pages, two sheets front and back. As has been noted in other threads, the ammendment verbiage was rather lengthy on purpose. The Florida rethugs knew that if they slowed things down it would favor their side.

I followed the Democratic party's advice and voted yes on all the judges and no on all the amendments. It took me less than 10 minutes.

I do this every election - sit down with the sample ballot that is mailed out, make my choices, then make a list of who and what I am voting for or against.

This time I just listed the candidates to vote for and notes on which way to vote for some categories (amendments - NO, judges - YES). It fit on a piece of paper the size of a 3x5 card. All I took into the polling place was that, my DL, voters card, and glasses.

Marking my ballot took a couple of minutes since I didn't have to think about the choices, just fill in the bubbles.

I went home and gave my husband the cheat sheet so he could use it when he went to vote the next day.
