GOTV is strong in St Petersburg!

I was a little worried. No landline, so I haven't gotten calls. Gotten several emails, but no canvassers for most of the election.
However, last night I was visited by a very sweet elderly lady who wanted to know if I was going to vote for the President. I assured her I would. Then, just now a nice middle-aged woman knocked on my door, before she could speak I told her I was headi.g to the poll right after lunch.
I thanked both women for their efforts and for stopping by. Both were very enthusiastic Obama volunteers. Gives me hope my county (Pinellas, which leans R), might just go for Obama. Probably not, but I'm keeping fingers crossed.
Time to jump in rainlocker and head to poll!

All the Mayors are repukes. City Councils and County Commission majority repuke. R Congressman. R State Senator. Etc, etc. Not as bad as it seems, but just enough Rs that they win most of the offices. Theres a lot of retirees here, all they care about is keeping their taxes low.

Pinellas County is D. I work for the party in the County. It is much different than Hillsborough.

My Congresscritter is Bill Young. He used to be OK, but now he's just part of Repuke obstruction, plus getting too old. Been trying to vote him out for past several elections now.
