I voted in Friday (early voting) but my neighbor (also a Obama supporter) needed a ride to go vote, so I took her to vote.
The line is outside (it's raining heavily here) took 2 1/2 hours but no one left the line because of the weather. The line is as long as when we left as it was when we got there.
Just wanted to give a perspective of my polling precinct.

(14,400 posts)lines are no where near as long in central republican districts?
Nice to see that no one is leaving.

It'd be fun to meet you. We can stop at a Karaoke bar afterwards.
If its too far out of your way, I understand.
I actually have my own ride, but Kaaokeing alone is such a drag!

(16,646 posts)I've lived in this Orlando neighborhood for 14 years. These are the longest lines by far I've ever seen. I drive past 3 polling sites on the way to work. Anecdotal for sure, but something is different.

(30,947 posts)But unfortunately, she can't get to the polling place until after 12. I hope the line is not too long for her sake. I advised her to take her Nook, a lawn chair and a bottle of water if the lines are anything like here in the Atlanta area.

(1,628 posts)In our affluent PA suburb, there was no line, no wait, and aside from being asked for a picture ID, everything was rosey. We even had free coffee and cookies.

(17,320 posts)voters this year. If we win, they and others like them will be the main reason.
Wish I were there, I'd drive down with some food and drink for them.

(43,182 posts)But the line had shortened considerably as I left. So if you have a chance to go around lunch time, it shouldn't be as bad.
