My experience at voting this a.m....

First off hubby and I got into a little discussion, about where the polling place was, (he didn't register until September, cause we just moved back here a yr. ago) We live in a town with less than 1500 people in N. East Nevada, so of course I knew, cause I lived here for 30 yrs. and have voted here before. So we drop off teen tea at school, and drove to our polling place. We walked in, my neighbor, banker, local old drunk rescuer, local historian, and retired post office worker, greeted us. We talked about the death of my dog, my daughters broken leg, and how I needed to change my address cause my hubby's registration is at our current address and mine is still in our old house.

Upon exiting, my neighbor who volunteers told me,with a smile and a twinkling eye that there are more registered democrats than last presidential election! I don't know if this is legal, but I really don't care, it just made me happy!

Of course, being the town klutz, I tripped into the table, and almost fell. Looked up to see the line of people waiting to vote, local business owners, the CEO of Wells Rural Electric Co., grocery store clerks, truck stop employee, and a couple of 18 yr. old, first time voters! I love my town, I love these people. I waved at them, walked out the door filled out my exit poll and came home! Today is a good day!

Ho,

registered for one party would not come under the heading of illegal campaigning. It's simply a small piece of information.
