The good news regarding vote suppression and fraud

Is that the social media, including DU, makes it harder to pull off. Just think 20 years ago major shenanigans could have taken place and no one could immediately spread the word. We need to continue our messages getting to authorities and the media as soon as anything is reported.

Camera phones are also helping.

getting screwed, which is great. I don't think that would have happened in '00 or '04 or even in '08.

Computers in 2000 and 04, and we knew of problems then. And 8 years later, we still didn't address the problems. The right way to go would be paper ballots ONLY, and hand counts ONLY! I know camera phones weren't as popular then, and couldn't accomplish what they do today, but we still knew there could be voter fraud with the machines.

These bastards live to do their deeds in the dark when nobody is watching.

Cell phone cameras and the social networks are a real game changer. Keep those batteries charged and ready to roll.

We've seen tons of cases of voter intimidation, suppression.... people take videos of long lines... incorrect robocalls telling people to vote on Wednesday.... it goes on and on and on and it all gets lots of hits on DU, Reddit, and Facebook, but NOTHING EVER HAPPENS. Sure we know about it but does anyone ever get prosecuted? Does an election outcome ever get recounted or re-evaluated based on these events? All it does is piss us off. Sorry. I'm just jaded after 8 years of this.
