(12,882 posts)and ALL carry a loaded firearm! For SURE, the shooter would never have dared to pull this off if everyone wore a gun! And just THINK how dead he'd be if he DID start shooting and everyone around him opened up in return! Of course, they'd ALL be crack shots and none of the fusillade of lead would find anything BUT it's intended mark.

(19,458 posts)Guns are for cowards. They can stand there and with a little movement of the finger, can drop dozens of people in a few minutes. Takes no effort, not even beak a sweat. You don't have to look in their eyes, don't have to risk anything.
Mass stabbing in a giant building? uh huh... let's see, you stab one guy and while you're doing that the other seven tackle you. Done. Over.

(10,340 posts)Hell, I'll even let you go back TWO DECADES. You still won't find as many mass-shootings as there have been in ONE YEAR alone.

(7,776 posts)there are more than enough gun owners out there to ensure gun control will remain off the table for the next 4 years and beyond (much to the chagrin of the buzzing flies that are the Brady Campaign).
One needn't be an NRA member to keep the gun controllers agenda from becoming law.

(12,882 posts)I'd pray for politicians that didn't quake at the thought of the NRA.

(36,926 posts)But let's NOT talk about sensible gun control. Cause that might make the tiny minority of fanatic gun owners in the NRA mad.

(3,419 posts)and I hate the NRA. I carry everyday and it has never jumped out of my holster and hurt anyone. It's the mentally unstable you need to watch out for a gun is just a tool like a knife.

(19,458 posts)when in fact, most of the time the person was fired for being the kind of person who would do this. when they look into the situation, the person was most often fired or reprimanded for being angry or creepy or weird. And with the easy access to guns, they take it out on everyone else.. because they're "blameless" in their mind. And many of these are domestic issues, as well.. and the same thing. They are angry and paranoid and "blameless" in their heads.
This is just heartbreaking for the people involved and their families. Glad the gunman is dead hope he rots in hell. Why the fuck can't people like that kill themselves first?
And those that are whining that if everyone had a gun this wouldn't happen? and that an "armed society is a polite society" I would refer them to Japan. Which is polite and unarmed.
