I was thinking this AM about how remarkable President Obama's first term was...

Without getting in the specifics of what he did (or didn't) manage to get done -

In broad daylight, a political party's platform was solely around ensuring that he could not be reelected - a platform of obstruction, and thus total disregard for the entire country.

A media that stacked the deck weekly - daily - against Obama and Democrats by playing the false equivalency game

An astroturfed party (teabaggers) founded basically on hatred, bigotry, racism and/or hypocrisy

And with all that known, the fact that an empty suit like Romney could even get close to being elected....in essence, a distillation of all that is wrong with the Republican party.

In spite of all that.....we are about to experience the excitement and hope of four more years.

at least he - and we all - know what we will be up against in the next four....so, so much work to be done.
