First, you have to realize that depressions are only bad for the Little People.
For every farm that was lost by a poor family in the Great Depression, a rich person acquired a nice farm at a super-bargain price.
For every company that went bankrupt and cost the small investors their life savings, some economic predator acquired a company at bargain-basement prices.
You can make as much speculating in a crashing market as in a soaring one. That's what selling short is all about.
Andrew Mellon summarized it all nicely: "Depressions are merely those times when wealth flows back to its natural owners."
And that Goddam Obama interrupted the depression that Bush got so handily started. Romney's plan is to get the collapse back on track so he and his fellow vultures can finish their feast on the corpse of the nation.

Like the boss said we take care of our own!
I still cannot wrap my arms around how health care for all people is a sin.
must be the socialism in me I need a shot or something
And in the religion of Wall St and Rand, yes, your socialist leanings are indeed something that must be purged out of you, or we'll have an even BIGGER welfare class of little people demanding handouts. Those handouts belong to Exxon, doncha know!
