And Miami is having problems again

Following Marc Caputo on Twitter @MarcACaputo you can see all of the garbage that's going on. 4-5 hour waits in mostly African-American districts. Lines going smoothly at mostly affluent areas. Not sure if they are pulling an Ohio here where they have less areas to vote in some districts as opposed to others.

You'd think that we could put the FEC in charge of making sure that there are enough polling places and voting machines everywhere instead of the states, which always seem to run out of ballots, or not have enough machines, or something.

Marc Caputo?@MarcACaputo

Earlier this morning, I tweeted that some precincts seemed to be under-equipped. Miami-Dade said it wasn't so. 5, 6-hour waits?

believes in honesty, integrity and verifiable paper trails in our elections, doesn't believe that we need election reform in this country? The Republicans talk about voter fraud, which when it is committed, is almost always committed by a Republican......why is it that Republicans never talk about election fraud? My guess would be, that Republicans don't want to "fix" election fraud is, because they have been using it as one of their successful tools in order to steal elections that they could never win on the issues. Election reform should be on the top ten list of issues to tackle in the Presidents second term. I can't wait to hear the words tonight: "President Obama has been elected to 4 more years in the White House."

We do not actually have the right to vote for president, that right resides with the state legislatures (arcane but there you have it). The reason Florida was not a similar problem in '08 was because Crist was governor and refused to go along with the GOP shenanigans. Same in Ohio with Strickland and his excellent SOS. We need to mobilize in non-presidential elections. They're just as important.

On local 10 news right now.

One line two precincts. You subdivide when you get in. Not enough poll workers. What fucking nightmare.
