What was the method you used to vote today?

mine was the "fill in the oval with an ink pen and then feed it into the scanner" type.

What about yours? Do you trust it?

it didn't give you verification of your choices after scanning - it simply read, "Thank you - your ballot has been submitted." Something like that.

Yes, but how do I know it read my ballot accurately?

Aside from that, it was pretty painless.

I'd think some receipt based on the ballot number should be possible, like enter your ballot number on a website and get the results.

I wrote in on two unopposed slots so maybe that will help.

or push to get the check mark in your candidate's box. Then when finished with each one, you push a big green button at the bottom. The big green button says "VOTE" on it.

but you had to fill in a broken arrow (if that makes sense). It was like this. Connect the hyphens: -- -->

I say black box because one doesn't have a clue as to what it does with the vote count. Is it accurate in counting the votes or does it count a few of the dem votes as republiCON votes.

Went online and verified that they had received our two ballots (mine and my husband's) and they had recorded that it was received at the Supervisor of Elections Office last week (two days after I mailed it).

Obama/Biden 2012 On to Victory!!

I guess it qualifies as a touch screen. Not quite sure about that.

... touchscreens are far more prevalent than I thought.

Here in Wisconsin, touchscreens are ONLY supposed to be used for vision-impaired voters, but have been found used where there are not approved.
