November 6th, 2012: The National IQ Test

And therein lies the first part of our national IQ test. Can we as people really be so dumb as to elect a man who not six months ago was telling a completely different story on taxes, health care, abortion, foreign policy, you name it? Are we really so dim-witted that we can elect a team of men into the highest offices of the land after they were caught repeatedly lying to us? The lies of the Republican ticket will go down in infamy. Paul Ryan’s acceptance speech in Tampa was shamefully mendacious. Mitt’s claims of welfare work requirement cutting, Jeeps jobs outsourcing, and perhaps most damaging and publicly humiliating, that Obama hadn’t called the tragedy in Benghazi an act of terror for fourteen days, are all inescapable evidence that they are not just unfit for those offices, they are unfit for any elected office.

All politicians lie; we all understand that. But lying by way of cherry-picking facts, and lying by way of completely distorting, or worse, making up your own fucking facts is just criminal. But let’s not blame the liars. Let’s not even blame the dupes. Let’s blame the willfully ignorant voters who know, who simply have to know that they are being lied to incessantly, and still choose to vote for Mitt Romney for President. That’s stupid. That’s insanely stupid. It’s the equivalent of a self-inflicted gunshot to the foot, and there are literally millions of people all set to aim at their toes on Tuesday.

Let’s get away from the lies though. Let’s just pack the lies away, as central to this campaign as I believe they’ll wind-up being, and look at another factor in this race. I mentioned it earlier, but Mitt’s fiscal policies and tax plans are outright stupidity. A Romney/Ryan budget would absolutely propose Draconian (I know conservatives just love that word) cuts to the social safety net that many Americans before us have toiled to preserve. Romney’s tax plan math does not work. Oh, they can talk about studies (blog articles like this one) that back up their claims, but it doesn’t add up. They are literally telling us that 2+2 will equal “five” and we just have to trust them. You know, Nixon had a “secret” plan for peace when he ran in 1968.

We never saw that plan. Just like we’ll never see the secret Mitt Romney tax math.

Trickle down economics doesn’t work. And Trickle Down Government isn’t a real thing, despite Team Oligarchy’s attempts to make it a thing. So what we’re left with is a proposition to America to put all our faith in a guy who has probably hidden more money from the tax man than you or I will ever be asked to pay. We’re being asked to put our trust in a man who’s been defiantly stubborn about releasing the same number of tax returns that many, many before him, his father included have done when seeking the big boy chair in the White House. We’re being asked to put stock in a man who made hundreds of millions of dollars by actually killing companies off and sticking tax payers with the bill for the underfunded pensions of the employees whose lives he ruined. We are being asked to elect a man whose tax plan math cannot be proven to actually balance without some very dire and real consequences for the very middle class he claims to be trying to protect. It seems really stupid to vote for that guy, right?

Tomorrow, we’ll find out how well we do on our national IQ test.

Our national IQ test will confirm the fact that almost one-half of voters are indeed insanely stupid indepat Nov 2012 #8

I'm confident the President will win.....I think the percentage of the electorate that votes wrong, will be indicative of a very dismal National IQ score.....Very dismal...

far too many people can read, write and vote. Non critical thinkers are easily manipulated.
