James Carville: If Election Night Were A Play, It Should Be Titled ‘The Ass-Whuppin’ Cometh’

http://www.mediaite.com/online/james-carville-if-election-night-were-a-play-it-should-be-titled-the-ass-whuppin-cometh/

James Carville is feeling rather confident about tonight’s election results, and said as much in a blog post earlier today. The president’s chances are good, he said. So much so that if a play were opening tonight, it should be titled “The Ass-Whuppin’ Cometh.”

“There’s nothing in other national polls or state polls to contradict our assessment about this election,” Carville said in the post. “And if anything, the president gained momentum in the final day or so.”

He further called out Republicans for their approach to “science and facts,” and their frustration with the way the election is shaping up.

Instead of learning from experience, the Republicans continue their war on science and facts. Now they’re furious that anyone would dare use polling data to predict an election outcome that isn’t going their way, and taking it out on Nate Silver, the polling blogger at the New York Times.

“If a play were opening tonight,” Carville wrote, “I think the title should be ‘The Ass-Whuppin’ Cometh.’”

He doesn't care if the other talking heads don't like him.

I love when he says "excuse me for talking while you're interrupting."

I can't even begin to explain how important that is.

I'm not talking about now, but in the future. The Democratic party needs to be a refuge from craziness and there will be a growing group of Southerners that need that refuge.

Carville speaks the language.
