Just heard on CNN. "Reticent Republican Voters" are the latest incarnation of "Reluctant Bush Responders" a thesis famously coined by the late Warren Mitofsky shortly before he suddenly and prematurely died. Mitofsky spent the last few years of his life wondering why his exit polls (which had been gold standard) got the results wrong in the 2000, 2002 and 2004 elections.
How believable is this DU?
Foolacious
(497 posts)The PTB in politics and polling simply cannot accept that there is chronic election fraud going on. So they invent outlandish explanations. These are the same people who "send in the marines" to straighten things out in other countries when reported votes and exit poll votes there don't match up.
I'll stick with Occam's Razor:
Given: It's easy to cheat with electronic paperless black-box voting machines and tabulators.
Given: The voting machines and tabulators are all manufactured by companies with strong Republican sympathies.
Given: The "red shift" phenomenon happens everywhere there is electronic voting.
Conclusion: Votes are being illegally shifted electronically from Democratic to Republican candidates.

(39,961 posts)detest him. That isn't an illusion, a mirage or a dream.
Southern Baptists aren't going to hit the polls for him, because he's a weirdo Mormon. That's a fact that you can attempt to demographic away, but it's the truth on the ground in the Deep South. I'm not trying to be a religious bigot, since I am agnostic, but that is a fact.
