I hope folks here and everywhere else, who respect the idea of a democracy, pressure their states to get rid of electronic voting. People should at the least, demand verifiable voting. Enough is enough... people here spend hours and hours talking about politics, but what good is it, if your vote is being counted by a private company, costing the tax payers more than if it were hand counted?
You do not need to believe elections are fixed, but you damn sure should be concerned that it is much easier to rig elections by voting on machines that are controlled by private interests.

(10,565 posts)If they're counted in the precinct, then bags of ballots don't "accidentally" end up in the river on the way to the county elections office... or various other shenanigans.

GOod news; the texas repubs are now realizing that vapor voting is unamerican. this transcends parties. once you point out that CHINA could hack our vote, they're all on board to go back to paper. Had this convo with some smart repubs today and this is where the vapor ballot narrative is headed: we unite to secure our constitutuional rights...at least the ones we agree on.
