Too many to keep track of!! I've been saying for years that I've gotta read H.L. Mencken.....ugh, too much to keep track of!!

written by a staunch progressive liberal (and by staunch I mean that he incorporates his views in his work, in his characters, everything), try Fr. Andrew Greeley.

It's not the best fiction in the world, some is better than others, but all are readable - and it is amusing to see how he lofts the Democratic banner every chance he gets!

He has also written a number of non-fiction books that cover a variety of topics, mostly concerning religion (he is a Catholic priest).
