As for Mike McCaul, well his district is gerrymandered 150 miles away to Katy, so that sucks!

(37,648 posts)But my county, DALLAS COUNTY, is the ONLY county in north Texas that voted for Obama! 57% to 42%. It usually does vote Democratic, I think, which is surprising (Bush lives in Dallas County).
The far southwest and south-southwest has counties that went blue. High latino populations there.

There were a lot of dark blue and light blue.

We have big cities here, Houston is huge.

The cities are safe but I don't know what we can do with the countryside.
