H20 Man begins his hunger strike today.

He'll be sending me updates when he can (his computer went to the zoo, so he has to use the library computer for emails and such).

Check in here, and show your support.

Best of luck, Pat. We're right there with you.

we will all make calls!!!...

"...call NYS Senator Tom Libous,...tell him (to) talk to the leaders of the grass roots groups that are opposed to hydrofracking...He has offices in Binghamton and Albany. The Binghamton phone numbesr are: 607-773-8771, and 877-854-2687. The Albany number is: 518-455-2677. His e-mail is: senatorsenatorlibous.com

"...also call Governor Andrew Cuomo on this. You do not have to be a New York State resident. His phone number is: 518-474-8390

Governor Cuomo has appointed his ex-brother-in-law, environmental attorney Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to an advisory position on hydrofracking in New York State....Robert has the Governor's ear, and he knows me. It would be good if people called his office at Pace University, and tell his secretary, Mary Beth Postman, to have Robert call Cuomo on this issue. That number is: 914- 422-4343..."

We can't even write letters to the editors of newspapers in this area because they are all owned by Richard Mellon Scaife. Every bit of content that goes into those papers is monitored...it's all pro-corporate, pro-fracking, all day, everyday.

The people around here, many of them seniors without internet access, read these "newspapers" and are being brainwashed into thinking that the Gas Companies and Tom Corbett have our best interests in mind!

We need to get the word out somehow. I honor H20 Man for the sacrifice he is making to his health to draw attention to the horrid practices of BIG OIL and GAS.

Pennsylvania is already being systematically destroyed. I hope other states wake up before it's too late for them.

by Dr. Seuss is, amazingly, a great parable for what he's doing.

It's about one little boy, fishing in one little pool, who is ridiculed, but who knows that underground that pool may be connected to all the oceans and creatures of the world.

Probably my favorite Dr. Seuss book. I had a flash of recognition when I first heard Pat's real surname.

We're with you, H2O Man!

Making the calls and hope others are doing the same. Hunger strikes can sometimes not turn out too well if those in authority don't act quickly. As H2OMan has said many times, this ain't no tickle fight.

From the Truthout post on Friday:

"... NYS Senator Tom Libous, and tell him that they think he should talk to the leaders of the grass roots groups that... are opposed to hydrofracking. That doesn't mean that he will change his position on fracking. But an elected representative should be willing to listen to people he disagrees with. He really should welcome the opportunity, even if he isn't going to change our positions.

He has offices in Binghamton and Albany. The Binghamton phone numbesr are: 607-773-8771, and 877-854-2687. The Albany number is: 518-455-2677. His e-mail is: senator@senatorlibous.com .

People can also call Governor Andrew Cuomo on this. You do not have to be a New York State resident. His phone number is: 518-474-8390."

every perspective, from every town, village, hamlet and city. Because of systemic corruption neither the NYSDEC nor the NYS Legislature or Governor will act, without awesome pressure, to protect the citizens of NYS from harm caused by shale gas drilling. Thank you for your part.

Cheers!
