Faux poll: Obama 46 Romney 45

From Faux Newz:

In a potential Obama-Romney election, 46 percent of voters would back Obama and 45 percent Romney if the election were held today. The president’s narrow advantage is well within the poll’s three percentage-point margin of sampling error.

And behind those numbers is a striking contrast: 74 percent of Obama backers say they are voting “for” him rather than “against Romney” (21 percent). Yet for Romney, his support is mainly anti-Obama. Fifty-eight percent of Romney voters say they would be voting “against Obama” rather than “for Romney” (33 percent).

Given its Fox, this is good news in my opinion. Also, I believe once the real campaign starts to heat up Romneys' weakness's will be even more exposed. There will be alot more opportunities for Willard to make dumb and dumber statements.

(sorry for the Fox link but its often helpful to spy on the enemy)

4. Frankly, Fox's inability to put Romney ahead should be troubling

no matter how they contorted those numbers....he can't win.

And Obama has yet to weigh in on Romney publically in any debate. Romney has already taken every opportunity to slam Obama. Romney may already have blown his wad...and Obama is still building his up.

5. No doubt Romney's attacks on Obama will soon begin to sound boring and worn out.

Romney just isnt clever enough to make the attacks sound fresh or interesting. He is a very weak candidate in my opinion and should be relatively easy to beat if things continue about the same as they are now.

12. Yea, you have to figure they're giving him at least a 5 point bump over reality, probably much more.

because their bullshit "horse race" is what they're selling, rather than anything of substance. Oh, wait. That applies to the other organizations, too.

8. Since the Faux poll is right wing, give Obama another 3-5 points

So it really should be something like 49-42% for Obama.

Not just because this comes from Faux, but because of a few other things too. Obama has not even begun to address Romney as his opponent. Romney has been given the unchallenged spotlight on the campaign for months. Obama has an approval rating lower than this according to Faux, that means a significant number of those who do not approve are Democrats who will vote for him anyway.

I'm surprised FOX even bothered to report their findings. It total goes against their 24/7 narrative that Obama is a long shot to win in November. Meanwhile, back on planet earth, Intrade has Obama as a solid favorite to be reelected and he's trending upward.

11. Also, once Romney is declared the nominee there will increase pressure to explain his positions.

He will probably try to move back to center but will look foolish and insincere. Also he will need to explain his attacks on the President in more detail.. for now the worthless media has allowed him to just get away with saying Obama was wrong and failed.
