Ruth Bader Ginsburg

While I hope that she is no rush to retire, it brings me extreme calm to think that when she does retire (likely within the next four years), the President will appoint her successor, and not Mitt Romney.

Just another reason to be glad about the President's win last night. We didn't forget how much was at stake.

Scalia havs to depart for health reasons? He seems to be pretty excitable.

He needs to find at least one progressive to fight for that the Senate will support in his next appointment. His appointments so far have been moderates, need to balance Scalia and Thompson.

Kennedy and Scalia are getting a little old, both will be approaching 80 soon, it would surprise me if one of them retire in the next few years.

The court has leaned right for decades, this would be a great chance for it to finally lean a little left for a while.
