I keep getting in arguments about Obama raising taxes.

I need some hard facts to squash these wingnuts who keep telling me Obama is going to raise our taxes. Obama is taking away the child tax credit. Obama is...... I try to explain he wants the Bush tax cuts to expire for those making $250000 or more. Please help me throw this back in their faces with the fact the Republicans are holding this hostage so the rich people's taxes won't increase. Thanks in advance. I have no doubt your guys will provide the ammunition I need so these people will shut the hell up!

because I am sick of the lies about our President. And facts mean something.

Also because I teach and a lot of the misinformation is from my kids hearing it from the parents. I want them to hear the truth coupled with facts. Not talking points.

Only Congress, and specifically the House, can initiate a tax bill, as a teacher you ought to know that.

I believe it sits right now at $200,000 for a single and $250,000 for a couple and that is after deductions not on the amount made .. there is a difference

to agree with President Obama on decreasing spending and increasing revenues. This because of the 'fiscal cliff' repugs forced us into.

Won't be avoided if boner (cantor) refuse honestly to negotiate.

Obama per the constitution cannot raise taxes. Only congress can. He can sign the bills into law or veto them that is all.

She sent me an email saying that since her taxes, and insurance etc. would be going up they are going to try to save as much money as they can.

She signed the email, United Socialist States of American.

I can't wait till I can ask her, "How much more is your taxed and insurance?" Think she also un friended my other sister and Mother because she didn't want to see my posts.

"So, you are making a quarter of a million dollars a year? or more? Well done, you!"

This works especially well if they are co-workers or neighbors who you have reason to suspect are nowhere in that income category.

making over $200k/year for a single person or $250k/year combined couple. They probably just aren't smart or may be allergic to facts.
