Could the Obama Administration Make a One-Time Offer

to all those Republicans who want to go to Canada or Australia. Just a one-way ticket to their destination. It wouldn't cost all that much, and the benefit to the nation would be enormous. Just send in your GOP membership card and a request to travel to either Canada or Australia permanently. A one way ticket on the airline of your choice will be mailed to you within 14 days, and must be used within 14 days after receipt. No returns to the United States for a period of 20 years, though, unless you refund the cost of the ticket and pay a repatriation tax of $10,000.

I, for one, would happily contribute to the cost of this in next year's income taxes.

Republicans can accept anything from the government. They've earned it, you see, through their patriotism and loyalty. They just want what's coming to them. They just want what's theirs. I say we give that to them.

So they don't want to go there. Besides, NH already has way more Linux consultants than it can use.

with Canada & Australia?

Send them somewhere that wants them. I think Somalia could be induced to accept them for a reasonable price.

5. True enough. Somalia is a paradise for libertarians, I understand.

Perhaps that should be an option, too. As for Canada and Australia, they could take all of these immigrants from the US and put them in the Outback or Nunavut. Plenty of open spaces in both places. Just require them to live there for 20 years, and give them some land.

think it is a good offer since they don't like the United States no more and think they lost all their rights. Let them go to Australia and build it up since they are so skilled. They don't think we can survive without them. I don't think I need them to survive. It would just be more opportunity for others since they don't want to contribute for the common good.

Canada is much the same, as they'd soon find, as is Europe. The US is, in fact, the only first-world nation still backward enough to suit them - thanks to their own hard work in keeping it that way.

Frankly, there is no westernized major industrial country that would want this bunch.

I would probably give them Texas or Arizona (and give Puerto Rico Statehood, so we don't have to change the US Flag). And build a huge wall around them so no illegals can get in.
