I *write* lesbian fanfiction. I'm not opposed to people reading male/male slash, but ... NO.

Just NO.

Good Lord, I need a big gigantic gallon of brain bleach and a Maura/Jane M rated story STAT. Maybe three of each, and I'm not sure which one I'm referring to or the order.

This is an uncanny instance of exquisite timing, to say the least. This seems to
imply that CIA (under Betrayus) was withholding their true complete assess-
ment on the Benghazi attack.

The Senate and House intelligence committees were briefed on Petraeus' resignation only after the news was reported in the media, said a congressional staffer, speaking anonymously because the staffer was not authorized to publicly discuss the sensitive briefings.

The resignation comes at a sensitive time. The administration and the CIA have struggled to defend security and intelligence lapses before the attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three others. It was an issue during the presidential campaign that ended with Obama's re-election Tuesday.

The CIA has come under intense scrutiny for providing the White House and other administration officials with talking points that led them to say the Benghazi attack was a result of a film protest, not a militant terror attack. It has become clear that the CIA was aware the attack was distinct from the film protests roiling across other parts of the Muslim world. Morell rather than Petraeus now is expected to testify at closed congressional briefings next week on the Sept. 11 attacks on the consulate in Benghazi.

like that, for what reason? And the FBI gets in on the false story? And then they say they've been investigating something for MONTHS? That's an unnecessary twist to add.

No. You can just tell from the alleged facts that it rings true. It is what they say it is. The FBI was reading emails to investigate something else, when they ran across this gal having an affair with him AND having access to his email account. Both of those things are really big deals for a secret service leader. Which is why he had to resign. He put the country at a security risk.

If she had any information or access to his computer, phone or other confidential items, and foreign governments were aware of this--and it is very likely that they were (based on knowledge by low level soldiers in Iraq) Petraus would serve as a security breach. Seemingly it now appears that she was going so far as to make threats to other "women" that were possibly involved with Patraus. Romney like every other general election presidential candidate was given some "inside" information by the state department as part of its briefings. Ultimately you are correct it is not about adultery--it is about the consequences of exercising very poor judgment in a senior government capacity. Sex is used by foreign governments and our own for that matter to secure and trade information.
