And I don't have one solitary right-wing friend. Relatives, probably... but I rarely see any of them, except at weddings and funerals.

I did have a couple of students make negative comments on Weds. morning (probably repeating things they overheard at home.) I shut that down right away, saying, "We aren't going to talk about that here!" I am in the middle of redneck country and there are a LOT of ignorant hicks here.

I'm not the spike the ball kind of person. We still have huge problems in this country and I just want to get back to work solving those problems.

I remind them daily because there not bullying me anymore. They are used to Dems not saying anything and they can't handle it when we fight back.

I work at a place with a lot of Republicans, but some Dems. We Obama voters have spoken about it, but otherwise quiet.

Not nice to rub salt in wounds, anyway. It just would've ticked me off if someone rubbed my nose in the Bush '04 win. We knew we'd lost. That was enuf.

I am surrounded by Republicans. One guy openly wept at a meeting. What can you say to that?

Eddie as Reggie Murphy is in the redneck bar. "I'm your worst nightmare, a n!&&*r with a badge!" That one to make fun of the people that really are afraid Obama will get radical.

Since election night, I've taken it easy. No face dances on my personal friends.

Our store being the local judiacia spot where we buy gold.

Dad *knows* about the card, but does not know I've already mailed it to him.

In the card, I wrote "Sorry about your loss, Happy Chanukah - love your beloved son."

Chanukah is less than 30 days away - early this year.
