The man who said it? Rick Perry. The rationale - the Turkish Government are Islamic Terrorists or at least, support 'anti-Isreal' Terrorists. The context, Turkey has been critical of Israel and downgraded diplomatic relations since Turkish nationals were shot dead on a boat headed for Gaza.
The truth: Turkey asked for a formal apology for the deaths of their citizens. Bibi's cabinet were split and could not come up with an agreed appropriate form of words before the deadline set by Turkey.
Up to date: Turkey is trying to broker an understanding between Israel and Hamas.

My take: When SC is over, get the hell out you ignorant box of rocks. Why in heaven's name should the State Department have to respond every time some GOP clown throws out more of Teh Crazy.

Rick Perry is a Governor wannabe soon to be ex-Presidential candidate. Why would the White House need to fuel his delusions?
