I've been a cheapskate to DU...for your stand up job throughout this cycle...

I donated on election night. Okay...if I wanted to see all the shiny prizes inside DU being unfurled in real time...I had to donate somethin'.

I didn't donate for years and years. But good, kind DUers re-upped my stars each time. Not one of them came forward (though I got a hint once...Peggy...I'm looking in your direction...I'm pretty sure you bought me all those stars ). In my defense...I had reason to be a cheapskate. The past ten years have been rough. Is there ever a good time for global economic collapse?

Well...things are looking up and I'm glad I donated. You guys have been a refuge for me for over 8 years now. And I appreciate you telling me like it is time and time again. To Elad, EarlG, and Skinner, thank you for all your hardwork. Where you've brought this site is amazing. When you think about it, you've actually had an affect on society....

As my Uncle Joe says, "This is a big fucking deal".
