The spouse of one of my employees, who had friended me on FB, posted a map of the election results with the key:
Red: Republican
Blue: Complete Morons
As an employer, I understand my responsibilities and limitations. As a humanist, I select the objects of my altruism carefully.

(7,290 posts)...I'm struck by the fact that you consider it altruism towards your employee to keep them in your employ. If the employee is productive and adds value to your business, I woudn't consider their employment altruism.
I also don't see how punishing this employee would be any different than the many right-wing employers that are threatening or claiming to fire employees due to President Obama's re-election.
