A DU call to action! Tell Macy*s NO to Donald Trump- Boycott Macy's over Trump product and ads.

Trump has a line of men's accessories sold exclusively at Macy's (made in China of course). He is featured in their Christmas ad campaign. I sent an email to Macy's telling them that I would not do any holiday shopping there this year as long as they associate themselves with a racist, treasonous hate-monger.

Let's all do the same.

That's the end of my Macy's association until Trump is gone.

Decades ago, I worked in their advertising department. The highlight of that gig was when models came in for lingerie shoots.

But I digress...

Macy’s birther Trump ad prompts petition

Fresh off a post-election Twitter rant about President Obama’s re-election, Donald Trump is raising more eyebrows with his latest ad for Macy’s department store.

In the ad, featuring other Macy’s brand personalities including Taylor Swift and Martha Stewart, Trump interacts with movie clips of Edmund Gwenn, who played Kris Kringle in the classic film “Miracle on 34th Street.” Trump, who demanded to see President Obama’s birth certificate and college transcripts, plays the role of the skeptic, questioning whether Santa Claus is real or not, the New York Times reported.

Trump reportedly asks Gwenn’s character, “What’s with the get-up Kris?” Gwenn responds that he is Santa Claus, prompting Trump to insist, “Let me see for myself,” then yanks on the actor’s beard.

Although Martine Reardon, the chief marketing officer for Macy’s, told the Times that Trump was given the role because he typically delivers the one-liners in the holiday ads, using the businessman’s birtherism as a joke could backfire. A petition circulated by MoveOn.org pushing for the store to “Dump Trump” had gathered nearly 19,000 signatures by Saturday.

the concept of all DU and Democrats using their size and power to seek out and boycott all inappropriate business models should remain one of our most strongly held positions.

Just do it.

I believe I made that clear in my edit of the post. I am just pointing out that we desperately need DU "calls to action" on this new, planned round of looting that will devastate millions and further hobble our economy. There is not much time left.

Maybe it wards off zombies. Or attracts them, I dunno. Either way, no thanks.
