'Tell him the door thing'

The power of this operation stunned Mr Romney's aides on election night, as they saw voters they never even knew existed turn out in places like Osceola County, Fla. 'It's one thing to say you are going to do it; it's another thing to actually get out there and do it,' said Brian Jones, a senior adviser."

Here's an excerpt from a discussion with an Obama campaign manager:

In describing the ground game, the official told of a conversation he had with a top field director on Monday. The GOP had tweeted that they had knocked on 75,000 doors in Ohio the day prior. Not to worry, the Obama director said, 'we knocked on 376,000.'

"Then the president came in, and this aide said, 'Tell him the door thing.' So he did. And the president responded, 'That's my team.'"

In my county, two of the big Obama headquarters were at Union Halls.

On my way out of canvassing, I noticed a big poster on the union's bulletin board: it said "Romney has promised four specific things he will do on Day One. Two of them are anti-union" And then it listed two specific anti-union things he had promised to do, such as repealing Davis-Bacon.

Thank God Romney won't have that opportunity

...they don't know the definition of the term. And besides, if they did, they couldn't do it.
They don't know what real work is, OR, they are allergic to it. Most of them, the upper 1% or the majority of their base, have no idea what really hard work is. I've done a little community organizing in my time in areas they call their base, and guess who did most of the work? Only a few of us. Yeah...the majority of them wanted to be on the committee, yessireee. I've never heard so many excuses in all my life. They just couldn't seem to grasp the big picture, or wouldn't. I guarantee you the 1% knows what an effective community organizer is. That's why they hate PO so much. Yeah, you are right...they are the joke in this equation. They have just proven it!

The GOP will never have that same compassion for their candidate as Dems do, simply because there is no money in it for them.

there the entire time, so they were fired up and ready to go for 2012 years before the Romney team.
