(3,678 posts)It's not only possible, there are examples to follow. Effective policies could involve one or more public employers of last resort and sensible structuring of labor markets, e.g. the length of the workweek.

What is fair? Fair to whom?
What is 'job-growth centric'? Do the so-called corporate 'job creators' get to continue arguing that they need more tax breaks in order to 'create jobs'?
For our economic conditions to change and become more democratic, I think the language in the OP is far more appropriate. It is a better starting point, anyway, and it challenges the faulty assumptions at the foundation of our national discussion of these issues.
