Let's Not Forget: The largest block of Obama's voters were WHITE.

I ran across a chart that I couldn't find quickly just now. It showed the 100% of Obama's voters, broken out by the blocks that voted for him. To my surprise, the largest block that voted for him was white (it was maybe 39% of the 100% who voted for him?), then Af. American, then women, then hispanic, then Asian. Something like that.

To hear the media talk, very few whites voted for Obama, and Obama won ONLY because minorities voted for him.

It's true that most whites voted for Romney. But that's looking at it from a different angle. If you look at it from the angle of teh 100% who did vote for Obama, it was mainly whites who voted for him, probably because whites still comprise the largest block of voters.

Obama would not have won without the minority and woman vote, for sure. But he ALSO could not have won without the white vote.

This is a good thing to remember the next time a Repub says something stupid like, "Obama only won because blacks voted him in" or "Obama only won because of the hispanic vote." Those two things were integral to winning. But that's not ONLY why he won. He ALSO won because WHITES voted him in, too, by a large percentage.

Oh, and Obama also won the youth vote, the gay vote, the Cuban vote in FL, and the (insert just about any voting block here) vote.

It's important for Repubs to realize that Obama won virtually every voting block, except maybe the middle aged white man and/or the over 65 crowd. And I'm not sure about that second one.
