Nate Silver helped me from becoming a royal alcoholic in the last few weeks of the election...

I constantly went to his blog for reinforcment...

Silver says he always felt confident in his projections. "I didn't see any particular reason for the polls to be off the mark," he said. "Republicans said Democrats were oversampled, but without much justification. I felt pretty confident personally." Silver predicted 90.9 percent certainty that Obama would win, and forecast him getting 313 electoral college votes; he has 303 without Florida,

When the polls would come out with President Obama's numbers low & mass media trying to convince me that this race is for Romney to win. I always went to Nate's site to confirm they were wrong. I never doubted Nate Silver's projections.

And I was posting Nate's updates on my Facebook page, telling my liberal friends to relax and taunting my wing-nut family and friends at the same time.
