Salaries are taxed but it is the assets of the rich that should be taxed more.

We need to chase them down in offshore islands like the Caymans and the Isle of Man. The investments are hidden from taxes.

Doctors and lawyers can earn $250,000 per year but may not have assets like 10 mansions, yachts etc?

doesn't matter. Everyone gets a tax cut up to $250,000. It's the tax cut on income in excess of $250,000 that should expire.

I have no sympathy for anyone arguing otherwise. In fact, I'm in the 13 percent. If they don't agree to let the tax cuts expire on the top income earners, let them all expire.

there should be more than three possibilities, if somebody would suggest an alternative.

Not that such an alternative would pass the House or the Senate.

But given only those three choices, my vote would be for "increase for all"

Still, gotta wonder, if it was offered, how many other Americans would also select "increase only on income over $90,000"

After all, about 80% of the country makes less than $88,000 a year.
