The water is now on the bottom of the ice sheet, pressure keeping it liquid in slightly warmer conditions, and lubricating a faster slide into the warming sea.

I think the predictions of a sea rise of just a few inches this century are terribly optimistic. I think it's going to happen much faster.

Humans are going to be organized a lot differently within the next couple of hundred years.

shows on either National Geographic or Science channel - don't know which but this film looks 10 times more amazing. I probably won't go to a theater to see it but will get it on Pay Per View when it comes out.

(I don't go to theaters because it hurts my back to sit that long.)
